Geographer will speak on sustainable transport systems in developing countries
Syed Abu Hasnath, senior research associate at International Sustainable Development Institute, Boston, will present at the civil engineering graduate seminar at 4 p.m. Oct. 10 in 1066 Rathbone Hall.
Hasanth will present strategies that can be implemented to achieve sustainable transportation systems in developing countries. The talk will first review case cities — Mexico City, Bangkok and Dhaka — wherein the problems in urban transport systems loom large, followed by an in-depth analysis of Dhaka City.
A reception will follow.
