Buyle attains national design-build certification
Ray Buyle, assistant professor of architectural engineering and construction science, has successfully completed requirements for the nationally recognized and trademarked Designated Design-Build Professional certification.
The Design-Build Institute of America awarded designated status to Buyle upon his successful completion of course work and formal examination in all aspects of design-build project delivery. By completing these requirements, candidates earn the right to display the Designated Design-Build Professional certification after their names, identifying them as design-build end-users and to the industry at large as professionals experienced in this form of project delivery.
An additional prerequisite for the certification is a minimum of three years substantial design-build work experience, which Buyle achieved during his 23 years in the construction industry. Maintaining the credential requires a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education credit every two years.
