Social Justice Alliance hosts Unthanksgiving Hunger Banquet
The Department of Housing and Dining Services' Social Justice Alliance invites students to attend Unthanksgiving from 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in the Kramer Tallgrass Ballroom.
Students will celebrate indigenous peoples of the Americas, while participating in a hunger banquet. The entry fee is one nonperishable food item per person, which will be donated to Cats' Cupboard, the food pantry on campus.
To be guaranteed a free meal, students should RSVP by Sunday, Nov. 4.
The members of the Social Justice Alliance educate residents about relevant issues in the residence halls through engaging programs and other activities. The organization also advocates for diversity and multiculturalism at K-State. Social Justice Alliance open meetings take place every third Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Multicultural Student Lounge. All students are welcome to attend and join the conversation.
