Anthony Bates Foundation hosts cardiac screenings Oct. 28 at K-State Alumni Center
The Anthony Bates Foundation will host K-State Cardiac Screening Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the K-State Alumni Center.
The painless, fast screenings check for heart conditions leading to sudden cardiac arrest. The screening cost is $40 for youth ages 10-18, and $90 for adults. Appointments for specific times may be reserved on the event page.
The Anthony Bates Foundation was started in 2002 by Sharon Bates in honor of her son Anthony, a former K-State football player who died from a sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 20. The Anthony Bates Foundation targets young athletes to help prevent these unnecessary deaths.
