Professional development funding available
The President's Commission on the Status of Women's Professional Development Fund is accepting applications for financial assistance to attend seminars, workshops and conferences.
Payment for up to 50 percent of expenses — $500 maximum per academic year — may be awarded based on the number of requests received and the ability of the employee's department or unit to provide partial funding.
Full-time K-State university support staff or unclassified professionals who have been employed by the university in a full-time position for at least one full academic year are eligible to apply. This grant is not restricted to women.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26. Application information is available on the President's Commission on the Status of Women website under Professional Development Fund. All applications must be submitted electronically.
This award will be offered again in spring 2019.
