Movies on the Grass
This week the film is "Bidder 70." Tim DeChristopher is Bidder 70, a young man who derailed an illegal Bureau of Land Management oil and gas auction, was federally indicted, convicted and sentenced to two years in prison for his courageous act of civil disobedience. Bidder 70 is a personal story surrounded by a wider context of citizen action, our history of peaceful civil disobedience, and grassroots movements demanding government and industry accountability.
The film will be shown at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Coffman Commons. In case of rain, the film will be shown at 063 Seaton Hall. For more information go to www.k-state.edu/mog.
