Harlan Weaver gives invited talk at University of Kansas
Harlan Weaver, assistant professor of gender, women and sexuality studies, was invited by the Hall Center for the Humanities at the University of Kansas, to present "Gimme Shelter: Rethinking Animal 'Rescue' with Interspecies Intersectionalities" Dec. 6 as part of their ongoing Gender Seminar Series.
The talk was taken from the second chapter of his book, "Bad Dog," which is currently under contract with University of Washington Press.
Weaver's research interests include queer intimacies in multispecies ethnography, sociology and anthropology of animal science and citizenship and animal rescue, just to name a few.
