Jeff Barnes named director of parking and transportation
Jeff Barnes has been named Kansas State University's director of parking and transportation services following a national search.
Barnes has served as interim director of parking services since July 2017. He has more than 20 years of parking experience at K-State and has earned the International Parking and Mobility Institute's Certified Administrator of Public Parking, or CAPP, designation.
"Jeff brings extensive institutional knowledge and parking experience to this position," said Cindy Bontrager, vice president for administration and finance. "I appreciate the work Jeff did as interim director and I look forward to continuing to work with him to enhance customer service and technology and promote transportation at K-State."
As director, Barnes will be responsible for leading parking and transportation services and ensuring the parking and transportation needs of the campus community are met. He will direct and manage the parking and transportation shuttle services, manage the integration of alternative transportation options and establish maintenance and repair programs for parking lots and structures.
