Reminder: K-State Association for Women in Mathematics to host LaTeX workshop Saturday, Feb. 16
Submitted by Keely Grossnickle
The K-State Association for Women in Mathematics will host a workshop at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in 144 Cardwell Hall. The workshop will be an introduction to LaTeX, which is a type-setting program used in STEM fields.
Some of the advantages of LaTeX:
- Generates nice PDFs.
- Makes nice equations, tables and graphics.
- Allows for greater control over the placement of tables and graphics, as well as margins and the overall format of a PDF.
- Easy to access online through an open source website Overleaf.
- Useful for creating exams, homework, articles/papers, presentations, etc.
You can bring your own laptop or use one of the computers in the room. There is no registration, just show up.
