Arnaud Temme to present geology seminar Feb. 28
Arnaud Temme, associate professor of geography at K-State, will present "Between Ice and Grass: Soil-Landscape Explorations" at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, in 213 Thompson Hall.
The seminar explores the various mechanisms of soil-landscape interactions using environmental examples ranging from glaciated mountains to flat grasslands. He will provide a narrative about how geomorphologists deal with the problem of observations at large scale that are caused by small scale processes. Temme presents his novel soil-landscape model that helps to overcome this problem and suggests useful setting to employ this model.
