Campus blood drive to begin on March 25
Submitted by Nicholas Dombrowski
The K-State Blood Drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 25-28 in the K-State Student Union Ballroom, 1-7 p.m. March 26-28 at Putnam Hall. Blood donors and volunteers are needed.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. We are asking for donors to step up and help ensure that blood is on the shelves when it's needed. Due to winter weather, some donors have been unable to donate and more blood is needed to make up for what wasn't donated. Your blood donation can help save the lives of up to three separate hospital patients, as the American Red Cross can separate your blood donation into red blood cells, platelets and plasma.
As an extra bonus to the Greek community, the fraternity or sorority with the highest percentage of participation will receive a free catered meal from Texas Roadhouse.
You can sign up to donate online or download the Red Cross Donor app to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also accepted, but may have a longer wait time.
The K-State American Red Cross Club appreciates your support.
