K-State Social Club dinner on Tuesday, April 2
Submitted by Patricia Thompson
The K-State Social Club will host a dinner Tuesday, April 2, in the Blue Moose Antler Room, featuring guest speaker Professor Jerry Jay Cranford. Cranford will speak about his journey from the Big Apple — Broadway — to the Little Apple — K-State.
Cranford is a professional actor, singer and dancer who has performed on Broadway in "Les Miserable," as well as on regional stages and television. He spent three years as the Genie in Disneyland's stage musical "Aladdin." Most recently, the Broadway World Kansas City selected Cranford as the best director of a professional musical for his production of "Newsies." At K-State, he has directed "Little Shop of Horrors," "Oklahoma" and "Pirates of Penzance."
Dinner, including tax and gratuity, is $27, and reservation forms may be found on the K-State Social Club website.
Reservations are due Friday, March 29.
