K-State Gardens Kids Garden Club
Kindergarten through third grade students are invited to the K-State Gardens to participate in free gardening activities. Five 30-minute sessions on Saturdays in April and May are planned to spark interest, present gardening basics, and have fun with hands-on activities.
The following are 2019 K-State Kids Garden Club sessions:
- April 6 — Plants are needy just like people.
- April 13 — Worms, Compost and Plant Veggies.
- April 27 — Think Like a Butterfly — Buzz Like a Bee.
- May 11 — Make a Terrarium.
- May 18 — Harvest Veggies and Plant Flowers.
- Additional sessions TBD.
The sessions will take place from 10-10:30 a.m. at the K-State Gardens Visitor Center, 1500 Denison Ave., upstairs in Room D202. Free parking is available immediately north of the Gardens.
Due to space limitations, the sessions are limited to 15 kids each. Younger children should be accompanied. Please register for one or all sessions by calling 785-532-3271.
