Latest Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Faculty Development Workshop
How do you teach so that all people can learn? How do you create safe spaces for students to try on risky ideas? Student learning is shaped by their identities and lived experiences. Join the Teaching and Learning Center for a free workshop to learn about how to promote equity and inclusion in your classes. The workshop will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. April 16 in 4061 Business Building. Registration is free and recommended.
This workshop covers fundamental principles of equity and inclusion to examine how faculty can create more equitable environments that support all students. We will work on equitable and inclusive practices and policies that are applicable to real classrooms, and think about projects which you can enact in your class. This is an active workshop; bring your ideas.
The equity workshop is part of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Workshop series, sponsored by the Teaching and Learning Center and run by Eleanor Sayre, associate professor of physics.
