Engineering company of the year visits campus today
The Engineering Student Council will host Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railways, or BNSF, at 5:30 p.m. today in Fiedler Auditorium. This is part of council's semiweekly organization development seminars.
The company was named the 2012 Kansas State College of Engineering company of the year after its $337,500 donation to the college. Carl Ice, a 1979 Kansas State University graduate in industrial engineering, is the chief operating officer of the company, which boasts more than 40,000 employees and operating revenue exceeding $19.5 billion. Courtney Johnson and French Thomson, manager of engineering, will be speaking.
