Two individuals honored by Blue Key Senior Honorary
Two K-Staters were recently recognized for exemplifying Blue Key Senior Honorary's motto of "Serving, I Live," at the organization's annual banquet on April 28. The recipients — Adam Tank and Rollin Mensch — uphold the three pillars of the organization: scholarship, leadership and service.
Tank, university alumnus and director of digital transformation for Organica Water, received the Richard E. Mistler Outstanding Blue Key Alumni Award. Tank was a member of the 2009-2010 Blue Key class, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and molecular genetics. During his time at K-State, he served as the Student Governing Association's attorney general, co-director for Catalyst, and member of Student Foundation. Over the past decade, Tank has worked to bridge the gap between innovative technology and one of the world's most valuable resources: water.
Mensch, printing services coordinator at University Printing, was inducted as this year's Blue Key honorary member. Mensch grew up in the greater Manhattan area and following high school served in the Army for six years, specializing in nuclear and biological warfare. He now has worked in the printing industry for 47 years. As the first point of contact for Blue Key, and the larger K-State campus, when requesting printing jobs, he works diligently behind the scenes to ensure every job meets expectations. He has demonstrated patience and intentionality when interacting with customers, even in an industry where options can be overwhelming.
