Student branch of international engineering society named outstanding chapter
The student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' Industry Applications Society at Kansas State University has received the Outstanding New Chapter Award for 2019, making it one of the top six chapters of the international organization.
In addition, Mohammad Shadmand, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering and Michelle Munson-Serban Simu Keystone research scholar, who serves as faculty advisor for the student chapter at Kansas State University, was named 2019 Outstanding Chapter Advisor.
The Industry Applications Society pursues advancement of the theory and practice of electrical and electronic engineering in the development, design, manufacture and application of electrical systems, apparatus, devices and controls.
