Pedersen named to UPCEA board of directors
Karen Pedersen, dean of K-State Global Campus, has been named to the board of directors for the University and Professional Continuing Education Association, serving a two-year term.
In her role with the association, Pedersen will serve as director-at-large among a group of leaders representing many of the top online education institutions in the nation. Pedersen's history as an advocate for innovation in online teaching through her prior work with the Online Learning Consortium made her a clear choice for the board role.
Pedersen said she's excited to get started collaborating with the other board members.
"We are already focusing on professional development opportunities for university personnel new to online learning and those with years of experience," she said.
Pedersen joined K-State Global Campus as dean in 2018 following a national search.
