SPARK fall 2019 update
As students are receiving their grades and are communicating regarding what their future plans are, we want to provide an update regarding the Second Opportunity for Academic Refocus at K-State, or SPARK, program. You may recall that in the past, SPARK was an option in both the fall and spring semesters for first-semester students who earned less than a 1.0 GPA.
SPARK will not be offered during the fall 2019 semester. A number of changes were made this spring to make the program more student focused and more consistent. For these reasons and to ensure that students have a great experience, it was decided to not offer SPARK this fall, but to offer it in the spring 2020 semester. First-semester students in the College of Arts and Sciences who earned below a 1.0 are being notified about SPARK and have the opportunity to sign up for the spring 2020 session. As always, students from all colleges are welcome to participate, and we will be happy to communicate with them if you provide us their names.
Please send names to artsci@k-state.edu or call 785-532-6904.
