K-State police to conduct active shooter training June 18 and June 20
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
The Kansas State University Police Department will host an active shooter training from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 18 and June 20 at the Manhattan Fire Department's training pad/burn house — weather permitting. Officers from other Kansas Board of Regents schools also will participate.
This announcement is for public awareness so it is not interpreted as a real event.
The training will include sounds of gunfire and realistic-looking victims and perpetrators. Officers will use simulation pistols and rifles, which use nonlethal training ammunition.
