K-State Military Affairs to host Military Appreciation Day at Country Stampede Music Festival
K-State Military Affairs will serve as the 2019 Country Stampede Music festival's host for its Military Appreciation Show on Thursday, June 20, at Heartland Park in Topeka.
The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs has invited 100 distinguished military guests from across the state of Kansas to attend this special event in honor of military service members, veterans and their families. Multiple CMA-awardee Clint Black will be the headlining performer. War Horses for Veterans, a Stilwell, Kansas-based nonprofit that helps veterans reintegrate after their service will be profiled at this event.
"This is a great opportunity to demonstrate K-State's leadership, commitment and service to our military and veterans in Kansas," said retired Lt. Col. Art DeGroat, K-State's military affairs director.
