City construction projects may affect your commute to campus
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
The city of Manhattan is working on several construction projects that may affect transportation to and around campus. As students, faculty and staff prepare to return for the fall semester, be aware of the following projects and use alternate routes to campus.
- North Manhattan Avenue from Baker's Way to Research Drive will continue to be closed through mid-October. This will affect student move in. A detour route is in place until the roadway reopens.
- The Kimball Avenue project is expected to open by Aug. 31. However, the project may not be completed by this date. The stretch of Kimball Avenue from Hudson Road to Vanesta Road will still be a construction zone, but at least one lane will be available each direction.
- A new project will start this fall, approximately October, to add a second right turn lane from Kimball Avenue onto Tuttle Creek Boulevard.
Visit the city of Manhattan website for updates on these projects.
