Professor of philosophy to present in St. Louis.
James R. Hamilton, professor of philosophy, is presenting “What does embodied cognitive science tell us about how to appreciate theatrical performances?” today to the American Society for Aesthetics annual meeting in St. Louis.
In this paper, Hamilton shows that embodied cognition and related theories of the mind cannot offer a complete explanation of aesthetic experiences. For more on the American Society for Aesthetics go to aesthetics-online.org/.
