Faculty Presentations:

Mark Barnett and graduate students presented, "The Moral Rebel: Assessment and Perceptions of Adolescents." Society for Research in Child Development, Montreal, Quebec, March 2011.

Faculty Publications:

Satoris Culbertson and K-State alum Maura Mills published "Negative Implications for the Inclusion of Citizenship Performance in Performance Ratings," Human Resource Development International.

Culbertson, Mills and colleague published "Implications of Overqualification for Work-family Conflict: Bringing Too Much to the Table?" Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice.

Culbertson and colleague published "Why Performance Management Will Remain Broken: Authoritarian Communication," Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice.

Student Awards:

A K-State contingent made us proud at this year's Great Plains Students Psychology Conference at Washburn University, March 18-19. All K-State presentations and posters won a prize in their session, mostly first prizes. These included:

* Kathy Nguyen and Michael Smith, "Evaluating the Mediation Effect of Engagement on Health-turnover Intentions": 1st prize. Sponsored by Andrew Wefald.
* Jorge Piocuda, "Social Moving Quoting and Applications of the Demonstration Theory": 2nd prize. Sponsored by Richard Harris.
* Adrienne Struble, Tammy Sonnentag, Jennifer Livengood and Taylor Wadian, "An Investigation of the Experiences and Attitudes of CASA Volunteers": 1st prize. Sponsored by Mark Barnett.
* Chris Wallace, "Perceiving Events in Picture Stories": 1st prize. Sponsored by Lester Loschky.
