Kuester to present 'Common Economic Themes Found in 'The Office'' today
Daniel Kuester, director of undergraduate studies for the K-State economics department, will present "Common Economic Themes Found in 'The Office'" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in Regnier Forum at Regnier Hall.
Kuester is the lead author of the website, Economicsoftheoffice.com, and has published multiple articles on using popular culture such as "The Office" to explain economic concepts in an engaging way. The event is part of the monthly economics club meeting, is free, and open to the public. A reception will follow with complimentary appetizers and soft drinks.
Abstract: Economics can be applied to many situations in our everyday lives and many different scenarios in popular culture. Kuester will discuss some of the best teaching and learning examples which can be discussed by explaining the actions of the staff at Dunder Mifflin Scranton (and a bit from Wareham Hogg also!).
We hope this is a fun and educational experience for all who attend.
