Research Administrators Council quarterly meeting today
The Research Administrators Council will have its quarterly meeting from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Room 227 of the K-State Student Union.
While not all research performed at K-State touches our personal lives, cancer may be one of the exceptions. Stefan Bossmann, university distinguished professor, Department of Chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences; and Punit Prakash, associate professor, Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Carl R. Ice College of Engineering, will share their research efforts to enhance drug delivery to pancreatic tumors and immune cell infiltration to improve local control of pancreatic cancer therapies.
They will also discuss the challenges of multidisciplinary research, how these teams are formed and, related to proposal development, what additional services the research administration community might be able to provide to assist faculty with continued multidisciplinary and international research development.
Updates from Sponsored Programs Accounting and PreAward Services also will be provided.
