Chronister wins Max Kade Prize for best article

Necia Chronister, associate professor of modern languages, German, is the winner of the 2019 Max Kade Prize for Best Article in The German Quarterly. She won this award for her article "Conceiving of a Realfictional Body: Material Feminisms and Jenny Erpenbeck's 'Geschichte vom alten Kind' (1999)."
The award recognizes the author of the best scholarly article in German literature and culture studies. Recipients of this award are selected each year by the editorial board. The award receives generous support from the Max Kade Foundation.
