It's not too late: Submit your nominations for 2019 International Educator of the Year award
Don't wait! The Office of International Programs is accepting nominations for the 2019 International Educator of the Year award. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.
The winner will be recognized at the 2019 International Educator of the Year award reception on Thursday, Nov. 21. This award reception is the final celebration of K-State's International Education Week.
Nominees from the previous two years are also considered for this year's award.
"This award program began in 2003 and it continues to be a great opportunity to elevate the level of international awareness on our campus," said Marcellus Caldas, assistant provost for international faculty collaborations and educational programs. "There are many K-State faculty and staff committed to providing creative opportunities for our students that promote global education and exchange and we want to recognize and applaud their efforts."
This award allows visibility for an individual or department to recognize someone making significant contributions to advancing international education on our campus. Faculty, staff, administrators or other members of the K-State community may be nominated for their major contributions and sustained efforts to internationalize our campus.
The honoree will be recognized by Provost Charles Taber and presented with a $1,000 award and a plaque at the International Educator of the Year award reception starting at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21.
