Green Action Fund call for proposals
The Green Action Fund is now accepting proposals for the fall 2019 semester from student groups and campus offices.
The Green Action Fund provides funding for campus sustainability projects that have tangible environmental, economic and educational benefits to the university — especially to students. This is a student-led effort designed to allocate funds to deserving projects from students, faculty and/or staff that support sustainability and foster academic excellence in addressing sustainability. These sustainability projects should help make the K-State campus a living classroom.
To be eligible for funding, projects must have direct student involvement or leadership, clear benefits for the K-State campus and students, and a campus department or unit partner to manage project funding. All proposals should comply with the Green Action Fund proposal guidelines.
Funding for the Green Action Fund is from the Student Governing Association through the Student Centered Tuition Enhancement fund. For a complete description of the fund, read the Kansas State University Green Action Fund charter and by-laws. The Green Action Fund committee is composed of students and faculty, and reports to the Office of Student Activities and Services on the use and impact of funds.
For more information or clarification of the fund and funding process, contact the Office of Sustainability at sustainability@k-state.edu.
To submit a proposal, visit k-state.edu/sustainability/green_action_fund/gafguide.html for more information. All application forms should be submitted in electronic form — one PDF preferred — to sustainability@k-state.edu. The deadline for receipt of the proposals is 5 p.m. Nov. 26.
