Geography colloquium Nov. 1 looks at the role of trees in production of soil
Jill A. Marshall, assistant professor of geology at the University of Arkansas, will present "Cracking the Critical Zone – The Role of Trees as Crowbars, Rhythmic Tap Dancers and Amplifiers in Soil Production" at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, in 1019 Seaton Hall.
Marshall's talk is part of the Department of Geography and Geospatial Science's visiting scholar series and is sponsored by the Beta Psi Chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international geographic honor society and the Department of Geography and Geospatial Sciences.
