Submitted by Gabriela Diaz de Sabates
On Nov. 6 in Santiago, Chile, Gabriela Díaz de Sabatés presented the paper “Equity politics in a radicalized society: The university’s role in gender equity” at the IV Ibero-American Philosophical Conference.
Gabriela’s presentation was part of the citizenship, global justice and immigration vulnerability symposium. The symposium’s main goal was to present the partial results of the research conducted in the context of a grant supported by the Spanish government. Symposia papers offered a diagnostic of the tensions and challenges faced by individuals and groups in relation to the state of vulnerability generated by immigration, with special emphasis in issues related to gender, ethnicity, race and class.
