Legislative Update

The Kansas Legislature convened at the State Capitol on Monday, Jan. 13.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, Gov. Laura Kelly will deliver the State of the State Address, and details of the fiscal year 2021 budget will be released on Thursday, Jan. 16. The highlights of the governor's budget will be presented in the Jan. 24 legislative update.

The Office of Government Relations hosts weekly Legislative Review sessions. These are brown bag lunch sessions open to the campus.

The following Kansas Legislative Session Review Sessions will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the K-State Student Union:

  • Jan. 24, Union Cottonwood Room.
  • Jan. 31, Union Cottonwood Room.
  • Feb. 7, Union Cottonwood Room.
  • Feb. 14, Union Room 209.
  • Feb. 28, Union Room 209.
  • March 6, Union Room 209.
