Laboratory Safety Renovation Program call for proposals
Safe and functional research and teaching laboratories are critical to advancing Kansas State University. The Laboratory Safety Renovation Program was created in November 2018 to address safety and compliance issues in laboratories. The program is renewed for another year and will continue to award $500,000 from deferred maintenance support funds and require a one-to-one departmental match. Proposals will be accepted until March 27.
The Laboratory Renovation Working Group will review and prioritize proposals based on guiding principles aligned with the K-State 2025 strategic plan. Please note that requests for new equipment will not be considered, and applications must be submitted by college or major unit leaders. An estimate of costs for labor and materials must be included from Facilities. Cost estimates must be requested from Facilities by Feb. 28.
Funded proposals awarded will be announced to campus in April.
Find an application form and more information about the program, including where to get cost estimates, guiding principles and more, on the Laboratory Safety Renovation Program website.
