Advisor Forum presents February Charlie Award
The K-State Advisor Forum announces Nancy Habluetzel, advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences, as recipient of the February Charlie award.
Habluetzel was nominated for the care and dedication she shows to her students. Her nominator writes, "Students trust her and confide in her things they probably wouldn't share with many other people. This trust and her ability to build and maintain positive relationships make her an even more effective advisor."
Habluetzel serves students in the open option and social science majors. Her students are encouraged by working with her and she is quick to ensure they know the resources available to them on campus.
"Nancy is a fierce advocate for her students, and will do everything she can to support them," said Alison Wheatley, assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. "Her care and compassion know no bounds."
"Students feel respected and heard by her, which is always a good thing," Habluetzel's nominator concluded. "I have personally learned a lot from Nancy and her example of creating a culture of care that all students respond to."
The Advisor Forum committee thanks Habluetzel for the work she has done for students and congratulates her on this award.
As a reminder, to nominate someone for the Charlie Award, fill out the short online form. Once your nomination is complete, it will remain an active nomination for one full academic year. Nominations can be completed at any time and can be submitted by anyone on campus. One award will be given out at the beginning of each month. The Advisor Forum Committee will make the decision and deliver awards.
