Relevant Resilience: 'Resiliency in the Face of Trauma'
Lafene Health Center will offer "Resiliency in the Face of Trauma" from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in 123 Leadership Studies Building. This is the second session in the seven-part Relevant Resilience series.
Jessica Blasi, alcohol and other drug education director at Lafene Health Center, will lead the workshop. Blasi will explain how early childhood experiences can influence building blocks for development, learning and health throughout a person's lifetime. Blasi will use her background as a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed master addiction counselor to highlight the impact of childhood trauma, and how understanding this impact can help build resiliency skills.
