Women of K-State brown bag event
Our last brown bag event of the semester is here so mark it on your calendars, and join us as we talk about healthy eating during the holidays. That's right, we said healthy and holidays in the same sentence.
Join us for "Healthy and Simplified Meals for the Holidays" from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, with the program beginning at 12:05 p.m. in the Big 12 Room of the K-State Student Union.
Presenting on how to stay healthy during the holidays is Missy Schrader. She is a registered dietitian for housing and dining services and an instructor in the department of hospitality management and dietetics. She has had a keen interest in food preparation and nutrition since her youth and greatly enjoys teaching others about how good food and nutrition can lead to a healthier lifestyle. As part of her role as an instructor and dietitian, she coordinates an annual culinary enhancement workshop on campus each spring, bringing in guest chefs from around the country to teach students and adults about cuisine and culture.
We are looking forward to seeing you all there. However, if you cannot make it — as always — we stream our brown bag events live at http://www.ksre.ksu.edu/Seminars/p.aspx?tabid=237.
