Ever wondered how major evolutionary transitions in animals are achieved?
Paulyn Cartwright, professor and director of graduate studies/ecology and evolutionary biology and director of the Office for Diversity in Science Training at the University of Kansas, will present "Genomic and Developmental Perspectives on the Evolution of Jellyfish and their Relatives" as part of the Division of Biology Seminar Series at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 16, in 221 Ackert Hall.
Using jellyfish as an early branched metazoan model system, Cartwright studies such transitions with genomics and genome editing tools.
If you would like to meet with Cartwright, please contact Kristin Michel at kmichel@k-state.edu.
