DMSA announces virtual Safe Zone training dates and times
The Kansas State University Safe Zone program, in the Department of Diversity and Multicultural Student Affairs, invites you, virtually, to attend Safe Zone trainings.
In the midst of COVID-19 to practice social distancing, Safe Zone continues to offer introductory trainings and advanced trainings online via Zoom. The Safe Zone messaging has not changed, and we plan to honor the scheduled trainings. In addition, we hope you will continue to request Safe Zone for your colleges, classes, departments, and administrative units for a safe and healthy university community.
Remember, Safe Zone consists of two types of workshops: an Introductory Training for student and community members and faculty and staff who wish to learn about the resources that help you become an ally for our campus and the wider community. The second workshop, called Advanced Training, targets anyone who wants to dive a little deeper on varying and specific presented by our campus partners.
To register for these workshops, complete the form on the website link for the course you would like to attend. The Introductory workshop is 1.5 hours, and the Advanced are one hour in length. One day before your workshop, you will receive a Zoom link to gain access to the scheduled event.
Please refer to the website to register or join the Safe Zone listserv for the most recent updates and announcements about Safe Zone trainings.
