Have you ever cleaned off your desk or weeded your inbox and wondered if you're handling university information correctly? Would you like to avoid second-guessing yourself next time you shred, recycle, file or delete work-related records?
Join Ryan Leimkuehler, university records manager, for Records Management 101, or ARM103. From 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, on Zoom, Leimkuehler will cover the basic information needed for university records creators and designees. Additionally, he will provide best practices for records management when working from home.
His course will walk attendees through why records management is important, how to follow the university retention schedule, and what the legal requirements are when managing both paper and electronic records. It concludes with an in-depth discussion on how to identify records and the process of updating the university retention schedule.
