Office of First-generation Students to host virtual graduation celebration
Submitted by Office of First-generation Students
The Office of First-generation Students, along with several campus partners, will celebrate this year's first-generation May and summer graduates virtually. First-generation graduates, their families and the K-State community are invited to celebrate their accomplishments during a Facebook Live graduation celebration from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, May 15.
"We recognize the importance of celebrating our students' accomplishments and the significance of this milestone for our students and their families," said Rebeca Paz, the office's assistant director. "All first-generation graduates who respond to the invitation to this event will receive a green cord symbolizing their resilience to wear to commencement in December as well as other small tokens of congratulatory sentiment."
