Education Abroad staff participate in virtual conference
Members of K-State Education Abroad recently participated in a virtual conference with the Forum on Education Abroad. The forum's annual conference was set to take place in Kansas City in March 2020, but transitioned to a virtual format due to COVID-19.
The Forum on Education Abroad is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission as the Standards Development Organization for the field of education abroad. The forum develops and disseminates comprehensive standards of good practice, resources and training, advocates for education abroad and its value.
Katelin Christianer-Donkers, Education Abroad advisor, served on the Conference Planning Committee this year. Additionally, Christianer-Donkers co-presented a session presentation titled "Expanding our Mission: Strategies to Serve Military-Connected Students in Education Abroad."
The Forum on Education Abroad also released the sixth edition of the "Standards of Good Practice."
