Writing Center online tutoring for undergraduate and graduate students continues for summer
As the spring semester ends and summer sessions begin, the English Department Writing Center continues to offer online writing tutoring in two forms:
Asynchronous eTutoring Sessions
The Writing Center's "Get Written Feedback" schedule allows student writers to submit their writing and receive written feedback from a writing consultant within 48 hours. Sessions are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so that feedback can be delivered to writers within the school week. Consultants will respond to issues of clarity, organization and development of content.
Synchronous Online Video Sessions
The Center's "Live Video Tutoring" schedule allows student writers with the technology to support video conferencing — computer with camera and speaker/microphone — to upload their document and meet with a writing consultant online in a 30-45 minute video chat.
Spring tutoring sessions will run through the last day of classes for the spring term, Friday, May 8.
For summer, tutoring sessions will resume Tuesday, May 26, and run until Friday, July 31.
All writing tutoring sessions are by appointment and can be scheduled through the English Department Writing Center website.
The Writing Center is sponsored by the Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences and by SGA through SCTE funding.
