Aguirre Rojas is 2019-2020 awardee of KAWSE Postdoctoral Researcher Travel Fund
Lina Aguirre Rojas, postdoctoral researcher in the entomology department, has been awarded the Kansas State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, or KAWSE, Postdoctoral Researcher Travel Fund for the 2019-2020 award year.
The purpose of this KAWSE Postdoctoral Researcher Travel Fund Award is to enhance the postdoctoral research experience and enrich the lives of women in the STEM disciplines. Awardees receive up to $500 to attend a conference in their area of research.
Aguirre Rojas will attend the International Congress of Entomology next summer and offer a KAWSE Career Chat for undergraduate and graduate students in STEM about the research networking experience at academic conferences.
