Beach Museum's ARTSmart and Beach Buddies offer summertime activities
The kids are restless. Wondering how to keep them occupied in a constructive, creative way this summer? Look no further than the Beach Museum of Art's website where you may explore a variety of entertaining options for kids and adults alike.
In compliance with K-State policies, the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art remains closed to the public. However, staff members are hard at work behind the scenes to bring you the latest and greatest in online must-sees and dos.
The museum's outstanding education department has created a host of classes for preschool through sixth-grade children. Take advantage of a different option every day with ARTSmart, offered Monday through Friday, now through August. With activities ranging from livestreamed talks designed to help young minds look at works of art to a thematic story hour where children may listen and follow along, there's something for every little one. Visit the Beach's classes website to create your own custom program for the summer.
While you're at it, did you know that there is a museum site dedicated to young art lovers and art educators? The new, Beach Buddies Facebook group offers loads of cool activities for children, childcare providers and teachers. Check it out and join so that you will be in the know.
Last but certainly not least, visit the Beach's interactive tools website to find all the latest options for exploring art from the safety of your own home! Check back frequently, we're just getting started.
