Agronomist lectures in South Korea
Chuck Rice, university distinguished professor of agronomy, made several presentations during a recent trip to South Korea.
Rice presented "Soil Science: Opportunities and Challenges and Microbial Regulation of Carbon Sequestration in Soil" with Jae Yang, president of the International Union of Soil Sciences. The duo presented at Korea University, the Rural Development Administration and National Institute of Agricultural Science of South Korea, July 16-19, in Seoul.
Rice is also attending the first lead author meeting of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, assessment report 5 working group III, in Changwon, South Korea. Rice is a lead author on the "Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use" chapter in the report.
