Kansas Board of Regents meeting university updates

The Kansas Board of Regents meeting on June 17 included several items related to Kansas State University. For more information on these items, see the June meeting agenda items announcement.
Consent agenda
The Regents approved K-State's request to offer a Bachelor of Science in geographic information science and technology and Bachelor of Science in sports nutrition.
K-State received approval to finalize the sale of the old gym building and 5.04 acres of land on the Polytechnic campus through the Department of Administration's surplus property process.
Discussion agenda
The Regents approved the associate-to-baccalaureate program transfer plan. View a PDF of the plan.
Provost Chuck Taber presented K-State's strategic program alignment recommendations, which were approved. A new Bachelor of Science in integrated computer science has been created, and the Master of Science in software engineering will be discontinued. View a PDF of the recommendations.
The Regents finalized guidelines for the review of low-enrollment undergraduate programs under strategic program alignment. View a PDF of K-State's programs.
