TLC wants to know about your spring 2020 teaching experiences
Submitted by Donald A. Saucier
If you taught a class at K-State during the spring 2020 semester, then the Teaching and Learning Center, or TLC, would appreciate your participation in their study.
Data collection for our study scheduled to close on Monday, July 6. If you already participated in this study, the TLC would like to thank you for your time. If you have yet to participate, please keep reading.
The TLC is recruiting graduate students, staff, and faculty for a study we are conducting examining instructors’ perceptions of their teaching. If you taught during the spring 2020 semester, we are especially interested in what you have to say.
More specifically, we seek to develop a hierarchy of teaching needs that provides the foundation for, and helps to identify barriers to, instructors achieving their full potential and optimal experience in their teaching. This study will help us better understand the domains in which instructors feel supported and less supported in their teaching, and will inform our future professional development offerings to optimize teaching at K-State.
In our study, you will have the opportunity to complete measures of your engagement and self-efficacy in your teaching, your perceptions of factors that influence your ability to teach well, your subjective experiences in teaching, and your perceptions of how you can be better supported in your teaching. Our study will take less than 20 minutes to complete.
If you haven’t done so already, participate in the online study. We would be grateful if you would take the time to complete our study.
