Psychology professors present, receive grant
Lester Loschky, associate professor of psychology, received a $1,049,788 grant from the Office of Naval Research. The grant, which will be spread over three years, is for the project "A New Measure of the Useful Field of View (UFOV): The Gaze-Contingent Peripheral Blur Detection Task."
Laura Brannon, associate professor of psychology; Valerie York, research associate/evaluator for the office of the dean of the College of Education; and Megan Miller, doctoral student in psychology, recently presented at the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing and Media in Atlanta, Ga. The trio's presentation was "Comparing the effecitveness of responsible drinking messages tailored to three possible 'personality conceptualizatons.'"
