Entomologist helping to develop online training for greenhouse operations
Raymond Cloyd, professor of entomology; Kimberly Williams, professor of horticulture, forestry and recreation resources; and colleagues in New Hampshire, Indiana, North Carolina and New York received a Gloeckner Foundation Grant to develop and offer e-GRO, a series of free online modules to enhance the effectiveness of greenhouse facilities to train and educate employees.
The goal is to develop a library of online learning modules focused on basic greenhouse concepts and techniques. Growers and employees will have unlimited viewing access, allowing them to become educated from the convenience of their homes and offices.
