KSUnite: Difference Makes Us Stronger
Submitted by KSUnite Planning Committee
Tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 13, marks the fourth annual KSUnite event. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to join together to celebrate K-State's commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging on campus. This year's event will center around two unique experiences from nationally and internationally recognized cultural influencers Bunky Echo-Hawk and Clint Smith. Those speakers will be followed by two rounds of Breakout Sessions with 19 topics to choose from.
The day will kick off with a Zoom webinar welcome video, including messages from three student speakers and three of K-State's Affinity Groups: Alianza, the Black Faculty and Staff Alliance, and the Indigenous Faculty and Staff Alliance. The welcome video will be made available at 11 a.m., with the first featured speaker session, Echo-Hawk, to follow at noon and Smith's session at 1 p.m. Breakout Sessions will be split into two periods with period one beginning at 2 p.m. and period two following at 3 p.m.
Below is a schedule of the day's events:

Due to the online-only nature of this event and face-to-face class time already strained by the pandemic, classes will not be canceled this year for KSUnite. Offices and units are still encouraged to allow time for faculty and staff to attend.
The KSUnite webpage continues to be updated with session Zoom links, event information and links to speaker bios and topics.
